The visa decision of applicants for educational purposes, who will stay in Hungary for more than 90 days, is made by the competent authority in Hungary. The Consulate is not authorized to request to speed up this process. After the relevant documents are submitted, the waiting period is 15 days according to the law, and this period may be extended depending on the workload or due to missing documents.
As soon as the decision is made by the relevant authority, the passports are sent to the AS Visa Center. We would like to remind the students who have not got a decision about their application yet, that we are also waiting for a decision.
